I finished Bachelor degree in Science Education in Mozambique, in 1986 and in 1987 I started to work in a high school in Maputo, the capital city, as a chemistry teacher. In 1992 I took up further studies at Pedagogical University and since 1994 I am a lecturer at that University. In 2000 I went to Perth, Australia, where I studied at Curtin, for a Master in Science Education which I finished in 2002. I had, to learn a bit of English as in Mozambique our officil language is Portuguese (besides Portuguese, we have many other local languages and, I speak three of them). When I finished my master studies I came to Mozambique for two years and, I went back again to Perth and finished my PhD studies in 2007.

I love talk with students, learning from them what to teach and how to teach- a challenge which keeps up my motivation to learn by teaching. I found amazing the 'Yin and Yang' relationship between learning and teaching in this profession.

I am a mother of two boys, Mika and Zuva (which means 'sun' in my husband's mother tongue).
