My personal research has involved studies of classroom learning environments and teachersÂ’ interpersonal behaviour, and their relationships with learning outcomes. An important feature of all this research is its direct applicability to classroom teaching and the curriculum. The research has now extended to Web-based teaching and learning. This research has involved investigations concerning the learning environments of computer laboratories, the effects of the use of the Internet on science achievement, the effects of using laptop computers on educational outcomes in science, learning environments created by distance education study, and Web-based learning environments.
